Adele Baker teaches from over 20 years of experience eventing and dressage. She has taken multiple horses through the Intermediate level and has also completed many full-format CCI three-day events. She has been the recipient of many awards including 2015 USEA Master Amateur Rider of the Year at Training Level and USEA Amateur of the Year in 1996.  Her horses have been named Horse of the Year three separate times. Her favorite horse to date, Caylpso, earned her the Alexander-Mackay Smith Trophy and a winning score at her fist full-format CCI three-day event. Calypso when on to accumulate over 270 USEA points in her career, and Adele went on to ride many more horses through the top levels of eventing. Today, Adele continues to ride  and compete several horses, always placing in a top spot in competition. This Spring, she placed second at the Heart of the Carolinas full-format Three-Day Event on Calypso’s daughter, Anegada.  She is a rider that has proven, again and again, that she can out-perform her peers at any level of eventing or dressage on any type of horse and her students realize improvement in their horsemanship and riding skills as well as success in the show ring.

    Sarah Baker is a home-grown horse-lover. She began her riding career at an early age, competing in her first Horse Trials at the age of 6. From 8 to 13, she Fox-Hunted, Evented, and catch rode Hunters and Jumpers on the ‘A’ circuit. She continued to Event, joining the Young Rider program at age 15 and continuing to move up through the levels. Sarah was a working student for Advanced Level Event Riders Vicki Baker, David and Lauren O’Brien and Ashley MacVaugh. She has also received instruction from Olympic Event riders such as Will Faudree, Will Coleman, Mark and Mimi Combs, and Jim Wofford, as well as Grand Prix Dressage Riders Jessica McTaggart Guizio, Elizabeth Moore, and Jim Kofford and also the masters of natural horsemanship, Gawani Pony Boy and Monty Roberts. During college, she played for the University of Virginia Varsity Polo Team and competed at the FEI levels of Eventing, earning a 6th place spot on the United States Eventing Leaderboard. Upon graduation, Sarah moved to the Cayman Islands, where she was selected to the Cayman Island Dressage Team. Sarah competed through the FEI levels of Dressage and represented the Cayman Islands in international competition at the FEI World Dressage Challenge in 2012, where the Cayman Island Team took home the Gold. After returning to the United States, Sarah began riding and training out of Fox Lake Farm in Southern Pines, North Carolina and writing for Horse Nation, dividing her time in the barn between working with difficult, abused and green horses and coaching or competing in Dressage and Eventing.  She continues to teach, train, compete and expand her equestrian experience.
